The Marketing and Promotions for Creatives workshop begins with a panel discussion on the topics of branding, messaging, market research, and audience identification followed by breakout sessions with the individual panelists. The panel will be moderated by Adrienne De Guevara of the Arts Collaborative with participating panelists, Jordan Killebrew of SBCC, Cecilia Martini-Muth of the Lobero Theatre, Soraya Simi of 805 Film Co., and Jacob Tell of Oniracom. The presenters will share their many years of experience with participants to offer tools for success to help artists understand how to market themselves and their work.

Workshop 2:  Art Economics
Forecasting, budgeting and record keeping for your creative practice

Art Economics led by Adrienne De Guevara of the Arts Collaborative, and Annette Jorgensen and Michelle Martinich of American Riviera Bank. The presenters will share their many years of experience with participants to offer basic tools for success to help artists reach their financial goals. Topics covered will include, organizing income and expense, saving on a small budget, the pros and cons of loans, record keeping, budgeting and forecasting.

Workshop 1:  Intellectual Property

How to protect your creative work.

The first workshop in our series on Intellectual Property will take place on March 10th from 11 – 3 PM at the Community Arts Workshop. The panelists for this workshop are Matthew Berger, Diana Diaz, Ian Smith, and Casey Summar. Artists will learn to understand the basic parameters of legal ownership of their work by hearing from expert lawyers in the field and first hand experience from an artist. The workshop will give detailed guidance on how to protect your Intellectual Property. The afternoon session will delve deeper into more specific scenarios with four breakout sessions. 

Support of this program allows artists to receive this training free of charge and empower them with the tools they need to grow their careers, contributing to a healthy creative economy.
